“Dispersed” (48” x 40’ x 60’, 2009) mixed media; illustrates my fascination with seeds and their dispersal mechanisms which are seen as a metaphor for the circulation and longevity of knowledge, as well as, representing evolution and the longevity of all life.  I strived to capture the dispersal essence of these organic vessels, representative of life cycles and botanical categorization.  The pods sway in space according to the viewer’s movement through the gallery, as if in a field moved by the wind.  Installed at UPS Gallery as part of a two-person exhibit with Holly Senn.
